Tullycraft - Beat, Surf, Fun

Tullycraft is an American twee pop band formed by the members of two defunct indie bands, Crayon and Wimp Factor 14. Sean Tollefson & Jeff Fell (both of Crayon), and Gary Miklusek (Wimp Factor 14), created the band in 1995. They are considered one of the forefathers of the American twee pop movement alongside bands like Black Tambourine, Tiger Trap, Lois Maffeo, Beat Happening, and The Softies.
In 2001 Jeff, Chris, and Sean started playing together again and soon began working on new songs. Harold Hollingsworth (Sno•Boy), who had toured with the band between the first two albums (in 1997), was re-recruited to play 2nd guitar on the new material. The result was the 3rd proper full length Tullycraft album: Beat, Surf, Fun released on Magic Marker Records. Tullycraft emerged from the extended absence with a batch of new songs, including the indie pop classic, "Twee."

While the vocals towards the end of the song are in Icelandic, this song is almost entirely sung in Hopelandic, a language created by the band itself to sound similar to Icelandic. The Mr. T Experience - Revenge Is Sweet,And So Are You

The Mr. T Experience (sometimes abbreviated MTX) is an American punk rock band formed in 1985 in Berkeley, California and currently recording for Lookout! Records. They have released ten full-length albums along with numerous EPs and singles and have toured internationally. Their music is best classified as pop punk and is intentionally playful, comical, and satirical, often dealing with issues of love and relationships. The band's name is taken from actor and television personality Mr. T.

The Mr. T Experience serves mainly as the creative outlet for singer/guitarist "Dr. Frank" Portman, its primary songwriter and sole continuous member throughout multiple lineup changes. The band is closely associated with the Berkeley and greater San Francisco Bay Area punk rock movement of the late 1980s and the 1990s, revolving around the 924 Gilman Street venue and the Lookout! Records label, through which they have released all of their albums since 1990. They are contemporaries of numerous other groups who emerged from this same "scene," including Green Day, Operation Ivy, Rancid, Jawbreaker, The Donnas, Tilt, and NOFX. They also share stylistic similarities with other bands not native to the Bay area but closely associated with this movement, including The Queers, Screeching Weasel, and the Groovie Ghoulies. Over the years the Mr. T Experience has performed, toured, and shared a record label with many of these bands. They also share a heavy Ramones influence, which was more prevalent in the band's early albums but is still evident in their recent work.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

Loveless is the second studio album by alternative rock band My Bloody Valentine. Released on 4 November 1991, Loveless was recorded over a two-year period between 1989 and 1991 in nineteen recording studios. Lead vocalist and guitarist Kevin Shields dominated the recording process; he sought to achieve a particular sound for the record, making use of various techniques such as guitars strummed with a tremolo bar, sampled drum loops, and obscured vocals. A large number of engineers were hired and fired during the process, although the band finally gave credit on the album sleeve to anyone who was present during the recordings, "even if all they did was make tea", according to Shields.[1] The recording of Loveless is rumored to have cost £250,000, a figure that came close to bankrupting the band's record label Creation Records.

My Bloody Valentine's relationship with Creation Records deteriorated during the album's recording, and the band was removed from the label due to the difficulty and expense of working with Shields. While the album was not a great commercial success, Loveless was well received by critics. Widely regarded as a landmark of the alternative rock genre, the album has been cited by several artists as an influence, and by critics as one of the best albums of the 1990s.

Graham Coxon - [Love.Travels.At.Illegal.Speeds]

Coxon had already released three solo albums whilst a member of Blur before his 2002 departure. His first, released on his own Transcopic label was The Sky is Too High in 1998, a ramshackle mixture of English folk music and 1960s-style garage rock, under the influence of Billy Childish. This was followed by the more extreme The Golden D in 2000 and the thoughtful Dylan-Drakesque Crow Sit on Blood Tree (2001). After going solo full time, he released The Kiss of Morning in 2002. The album proved to be his most accessible to date and was promoted with the single "Escape Song" which proved to be an interesting hybrid of Syd Barrett's "Octopus" and progressive rock trail-blazers The Nice. In 2004, Coxon released his fifth solo album Happiness in Magazines, produced by ex-Blur and The Smiths producer Stephen Street. This proved to be his most successful album to date, and he received the NME Award for 'Best Solo Artist' in 2005.

In March 2006 he released his sixth solo album, called Love Travels at Illegal Speeds, again produced by Stephen Street. As hinted by the title, the album is inspired by Coxon's current on-going romance with a model agent. It marks Coxon's first album away from his now-defunct indie label 'Transcopic'. The LP was preceded by the singles "Standing On My Own Again" on February 27 and "You & I". Coxon embarked on a tour of the UK, starting in March 20 at Newcastle University. He also got involved in a single supporting England at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The song was a re-working of the Sham 69 hit "Hurry Up Harry", and was released as "Sham 69 and The Special Assembly" (as well as Coxon and Sham 69, Virgin Radio DJ Christian O'Connell, who had run a competition on his show to find a band to record a song in support of the team, was involved in the recording of the song). "Hurry Up England" entered the UK Singles Chart at #10.

In October 2006, Coxon released a double live album Burnt to Bitz: At the Astoria immediately after his sold-out London Astoria show. The album features 27 songs, with at least one song from each of his albums.

In July 2007 Coxon released a single with Paul Weller, called This Old Town. single peaked at #39 in the UK Singles Chart.

Coxon recently announced that he is in the studio for a forthcoming 7th album due to be released mid 2008 Speaking to NME, Coxon said that the new album will be a concept record: "It's about a man who is born in, um, possibly the '50s. Grows up, meets a girl, gets married, then has to go to war and gets really knackered up and then has a divorce and then goes mad and then...er...dies and goes to heaven.

Frente - Marvin the Album (Original Release)

Frente! was an Australian alternative pop/rock group, formed in 1991. The lineup featured singer Angie Hart, founder and guitarist Simon Austin, bassist Tim O'Connor (later replaced by Bill McDonald), and drummer Mark Picton (later replaced by Alastair Barden).

Frente! burst onto the Australian music charts with the singles "Ordinary Angels" (from the Clunk EP, #3, gold) and "Accidently Kelly Street" (#4, platinum) in 1992. Notable as much for the bizarre film clips ("Accidently Kelly Street" consisted of the band with oversized novelty props of household items, and the title of the song was purposely mis-spelled as "Accidently") as their light-hearted pop lyrics, Frente!'s debut album, Marvin the Album (#5) was also a success, going platinum in Australia. Another single was released from the album in early 1993, "No Time" (#50), which did not fare as well.

The Shapes - Songs For Sensible People

The Shapes were an English punk rock group that formed in the town of Leamington Spa in the latter half of the 1970s.

Different in many ways from their peers in the nascent punk subculture, they were known for eschewing the more political stances that were fashionable at the time — instead producing works of a cartoonish and absurdist nature. Often compared to the The Rezillos because of their Gerry Anderson-themed work, they released their first single, "I saw Batman in the Launderette" on their own Sofa records label. This led to national exposure, becoming a hit in the UK charts and leading to a John Peel session for Radio One on the BBC.

They released singles on their own label and on the Belfast independent label Good Vibrations (home to The Undertones) until their breakup in 1982. Having achieved cult status, their records continued to be hotly traded. This demand resulted in a belated release of a full length retrospective of all of the singles, B Sides, radio sessions and demos as the collection Songs for Sensible People on Overground Records in 1997. The independent label Hyped to Death have released Shapes tracks as part of their compilation series from 2002 onwards in the USA. The most recent release being in 2007 on their Messthetics series of releases. Overground Records re-released Songs for Sensible People in it's original format in January 2008, and another compilation including previously unreleased tracks is due for release in Japan on 1977 Records before the end of 2008.
